Privacy Policy
Sports Hopping is built to need as little of your data as possible. We don't show ads, we don't sell data, and the app contains no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
Who we are
Sports Hopping is operated by Pipefin AB (Sweden). You can reach us at pipefinab@gmail.com for any privacy question or request.
What we collect
- Account data. When you create an account we store your email address and a password (stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider), plus the profile details you choose to set, such as a display name.
- Your activity in the app. The venues you mark as attended or add to your wishlist, and the badges you earn from that activity. This is the core of the product — it's stored so you can see it across devices.
- Location (optional). If you grant location permission, the app uses your position while you're using it (foreground only) to centre the map and show fixtures near you. Your location is used on the device to query nearby venues; we do not build a history of where you've been, and the permission can be declined or revoked at any time — the app works without it.
What we don't collect
- No advertising identifiers, no ads.
- No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
- No contacts, photos, microphone, or background location.
- We do not sell or share personal data with data brokers.
Where your data lives
Accounts and app data are stored with Supabase, hosted in the European Union (AWS eu-west-1, Ireland). This website is served by Cloudflare. These providers process data on our behalf as processors; they don't use it for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
Your account and activity data are kept for as long as you have an account. If you delete your account, or ask us to, we delete the personal data associated with it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal data, and you can object to or restrict our processing of it. Email pipefinab@gmail.com and we'll handle it. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (in Sweden, IMY).
Legal basis
We process account and activity data because it's necessary to provide the service you signed up for (contract). Location is processed only with your consent, which you give through the system permission prompt and can withdraw in your device settings.
Children
Sports Hopping is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
